Green marble gives the Ostro light a certain depth, particularly once illuminated. The stone shifts between darker and softer tones depending on the time of day, while the glass globe diffuses the light into something much gentler than the material contrast initially suggests.
Jaqi selected this piece for its sculptural quality. Even switched off, it holds presence on the wall. The curved marble shell frames the globe almost like an architectural detail rather than a fitting.
Made in Spain by Simone & Marcel, each piece carries natural variation through the veining and colour of the marble. Particularly striking used in pairs, where repetition of form begins to feel more atmospheric than decorative.
